Amigoe Kramati Kodzo Semanu, artist name: Dieudonné, is a Togolese painter, physically-motor handicapped in the lower limbs and left arm, he only has his right hand to paint.
Born in 1977 in Lavié, Togo, he went to study arts in Lomé, the capital.
In 2001, he left his native country for a journey across West Africa. Disabled and with very few resources, he is faced with the difficulties of life. He travels and works in Niger, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Senegal and Gambia.
It was in Bamako, in 2005, that his work began to be recognized and he participated in numerous events, exhibitions and artistic competitions. From 2005 to 2013, he shared his time between Dakar and Bamako, a period during which he evolved as an artist and as a man.
A hard and determined worker, Dieudonné depicts scenes from the daily life around him. He has a personal style that he has developed over the years. His work, mainly abstract, offers the viewer a broader vision of the realities represented. The work of this painter is always a pleasure for art lovers, as he demonstrates his mastery of colors and his unique way of working with oil paint and acrylic.
